Muncie, IN—Muncie Altrusa Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to Cornerstone Center for the Arts. Cornerstone plans to use this grant to develop and implement a new digital arts program that includes graphic design, Photoshop, animation, and digital painting. A new studio, which will be dedicated to the program, will be constructed and introduced in Fall 2019. Classes in the new digital arts program will be available to students of all ages across the community.
The grant was made possible because of a $10,000 bequest that Muncie Altrusa Foundation received from longtime Altrusa International Club of Muncie member and Muncie Altrusa Foundation board member, Beulah Frogge. Beulah left explicit instructions for the gift to be used promptly to make an impact to a deserving local organization. With Beulah’s wishes and interests in mind, Muncie Altrusa Foundation constructed a grant application process to award a one-time special project grant through invitation-only. Cornerstone Center for the Arts was one of the 10 local nonprofit organizations invited to apply. Beulah Frogge will be honored in the name of the new space: Muncie Altrusa Foundation Beulah Frogge Digital Arts Studio.
